HNC 3D COMPUTER ANIMATION

This course develops the creative skills and technical knowledge required for a career in a variety of digital development roles including, but not limited to, 3D visualisation and Animation, 2D Animation, Digital Art and Compositing and Motion Graphics.

This course is aimed at creative individuals with a passion for drawing, film, animation, video games. It has been designed for those wishing to pursue a career in the Creative Industries, particularly within the field of animation. Learners will be introduced to Industry-standard software including Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Animate (Formally Flash), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Illustrator.

Learners will develop an understanding of the creative processes involved in the production of animation projects; from concept-art to post-production techniques.

You will also be given the opportunity to undertake Autodesk Certified User and/or Abobe Certified exams at our on-site test centre.

Entry requirements

  • One Higher (preferably Art)

       or

  • Equivalent/relevant Intermediate 2 courses and/or other modules/units.

       or

  • Alternatively, other relevant work experience/prior learning may be considered.

Please note: At application stage you will be required to submit a small portfolio of your work. Entry may also be subject to a satisfactory interview
